Short Bio
Mia Edsall started playing Banjo at age 15 in New England. She headed west to Ketchum Idaho at age 20 and continued to play music solo and with bands until age 30. She married Equine Veterinarian, Steve Edsall in 1983, and they have a daughter, Anna.
Mia took a 26 year sabbatical from music. Sober and reflective, she jumped back in the music business heart first in 2005 with a duo called "No Cheap Horses."
Now she has the NoCheapHorses duo and 3 albums completed with mostly original material. She plays banjo, guitar, harp and sings.
Her influences range from Townes Van Sandt and John Prine to the Rolling Stones and/ or Lightnin' Hopkins to Al Green and/ or Lucinda Williams. Mia gets hooked on writing songs and enjoys it more than writing this bio about herself.
